Consumer Resources

Illinois farmers and Illinois Farm Bureau welcome opportunities to talk with consumers about issues of common interest.  In addition to wanting to be transparent and open about farming and our farming practices, we are happy to share our organization’s policies (drafted by farmers) and reasons behind our beliefs, practices, and positions.

Neither we, nor our farmers, are afraid to answer questions or to talk about farms, food, or our organization. We know there are topics that confuse and concern today’s consumers like antibiotic use, animal welfare, biotechnology, and GMOs. We welcome the chance to share our thoughts and to hear your questions.

We've developed a series of papers called, "Let's Talk About" on various topics listed below. (Click the topic you are interested in).  Links to informational graphics are also included below next to the topic. More papers are under development and we welcome your suggestions in that area.
